We Filipinos are often fond of having this New Year resolution, or things that we plan to change each year. I myself have my own things listed that I think should be given some focus and make a change in my life.
The act or instance of making or becoming different in some of your ways could give either good or bad effect in your life (but off course we all want something good right?) Depending on what change you wanted to achieve weather it could be a goal in your career, your civil status, your family living or even concerning your health. But in general change I think is something good.
Having a resolution could be as easy as having a lesser time on Facebook or as big as Starting your own business. What ever change your planning, what is still important is that you need to settle something that is achievable or to plan it wisely, for its your life that could be affected.
But with most of us that is really feeling the pressure of a hectic lifestyle, Health has becoming a lesser priority in life. For ones last year I said to myself that I would regularly drink vitamin C or supplements and maintain a healthy lifestyle by regularly visiting the gym, well I did make it for a few days, but again it didn’t really lasted for a long time. A promise I myself have broken.
Though in my head I know that it is important to remember that taking time to exercise, taking in supplements and eating a balance and healthy diet not only give me more energy but it` also help me manage my stress levels and off course keep me away from other diseases. People nowadays tend to put health on the back seat after their careers in life or other daily obligations. Even though we all know that for us to orderly lives a viable life, to take care of our families, and manage our daily responsibilities – our health must take center stage in our list of priorities.
Another year will come to its end, and I hope before the year-end or even lets say, today, why not choose to be on the healthier side and put “health” on the top of your list.
