THE EVENT
As a struggling individual who is currently experiencing a quarter life crisis. Attending a special seminar like the Cash Flow Mastery was definitely a great way to give you the right guidance and direction in resolving your dilemma in managing your money.
It was a good thing I came across this seminar by Khoa Bui. It was a perfect start to learn something new and give the direction I needed in aiming to achieve my goals in the next few years. I expected to learn a lot thats why I readied my pen and paper to take some notes that will be discussed by the speakers for the whole day.
Lets talk about first the host of the event, Mr. Khoa Bui. Mr. Bui is a Vietnamese-Australian who has been in the country for just about 3 years and been very busy doing some speaking engagement empowering people and on the side producing and directing commercials as well.
The event started with a few notes (and jokes too) from Mr. Bui and a short introduction of all the participants making it a very effective way in breaking the ice in each tables. The event was a full house, composing of a mix audience occupying the seats allocated at the showroom of Greenfield District which will be prime location for future companies and residents within Pasig City.
One notable words that stuck into my head was what Khoa Bui said that when you have an Idea to start something for example, business of your own, all you have to do is to finish it! It was very timely in my situation actually!
Ms. Leila Hernandez, took the floor as the first speaker for the day. She is the author of The 9 to 5 Millionaire. Ms. Hernandez discusses and shared what she have done to achieve her financial freedom.
She started with asking a question,”How long can you sustain your lifestyle if tomorrow you can do your job anymore?” A very striking question indeed knowing that one can never really determine what the future states, like you could be alive and kicking today and maybe tomorrow, in just a blink of the eye you could be dead. The key point of what she discusses is how one should keep money as savings and from the savings produce a passive income. She also discusses the importance of learning how to convert your salary into a passive income, which could be achieve in either investing it or having some assets.
The second speaker, gives a very interesting topic related in creating as well a passive income. Mr. Mark So, the founder of Forex Club Asia talks about how to earn 400 percent using forex trading.
Forex trading has been running all over my head just recently but I’m a bit afraid venturing into it knowing all those terminologies that could instantly eat me alive!
Mr. Mark So gives a bit of information on how one could understand forex trading (money trading) its a bit technical and needed more long hours to discuss to learn the nitty gritty of the process. But all in all, the short discussion gives everyone a bit of idea how Currency trading works, which is a good start!
Mr. Mark So will be having another in-depth discussion about Forex trading this coming August 10, 2013 and I am hoping and very interested in attending the said seminar.
The next speaker discusses about the different Income Opportunities online.. With the vast information that are already available over the internet and with the advent use of social media, learning to play along the system should be a great advantage on your business.
Ms. Janette Toral, author and creator of the popular blog Digitalfilipino.com, makes a different approach to the previous speakers, pinpointing to everyone to choose the things what really matters to you, and highlighting how building relationship to your clients could be one of your greatest assets. She had shown the participants as well how to identify what she called the soft spot, or the heart of the things you are passionate on doing. From then on, one can build a concrete idea on the process how one could reach his or her goals.
“Build an identity people can resonate to” as stated by Ms. Toral. Its actually one of the most trickiest part I could say specially for people like me. That is currently having this dilemma on putting on my very own branding.
That is why the next speaker has been very perfect to discuss about personal branding. With the theme Brand Me 2.0, Mr. Boris Joaquin, one of the country’s top-ranked speakers and trainers for leadership programs discusses on how one could establish his own personal branding.
Good personal brand always project good credibility, great value and has the ability to be proven by the right people. And in creating an authentic personal branding one should consider the combination of your talent, passion and experiences. Another more important thing to consider is as well is to know the top values you are carrying in your life. It is important to decide and to be at your personal ground in making important decision in life.
After learning about the personal brand, the next thing to consider is to know how to market yourself. Ms. Mae Young discusses about “Marketing Me”. Ms. Young differentiate brand and marketing, according to her, usually to easily determine your brand it is what the people say about you when you’re not around and marketing is how other people reacted to be influence in the perception of your brand. She also discusses the four steps on how one will do it by answering four questions. But all in all, getting your identity right will definitely help you through your works and always remember to be consistent in it!
It was a very eye opening seminar, and it was so “bitin”! It was nice meeting Mr. Khoi Bui, the speakers Ms. Janette Toral and of course to my instant favorite speaker of the day the very playful Ms. Mae Young. Congratulations Cashflow Graduates! Let’s start to invest, market and brand ourselves better!
Hoping to attend more of these kinds of seminars and learn more from others experiences.
Till the next one!
