So here’s another sample I did for my class in Creative Voices. I’ve been attending their class all saturday for two months and its been a wonderful experience learning new things and enhancing more of my “talent” (lol), if there is, in the voice dubbing industry. ヅ
By the way, CreatiVoices Productions, commonly known as CreatiVoices, is a Philippine-based voice-over company that provides professional voice artists for various clients like ABS-CBN/HeroTV, GMA, The Philippine Star, SM SuperMalls, and many others. It was established on October 25, 2005 by Pocholo Gonzales, the CEO/managing director, producer, and at the same time, one of the voice artists of the company.
For this audio clip, we were given an assignment to do a voice sample that will fit the characters shown, for a voice dubber, it is important for you to have this kind of ability to imagine a particular voice that will fit how a certain character looks like basing on physical and emotional attributes. For this assignment we were given three cartoon character scripts with an attached picture on how each one looks like.
Character number one is called Ice King. The character looks like a big person, with long beard and having a position as the King, I think a heavy, low and big voice could fit in.
Character number two is a Fox / Hero character from the dessert, I could characterize him as a small, fast and have a witty personality. He has this perseverance to do good and be at his best in all time for the benefit of his people. With the given script, i have thought of putting a strong, small, high pitch voice for this character.
Character number three is an alien from Antia, it’s an alien that looks like an Ant. So thinking of that character, I somehow imagine his voice to be small, with a distinct alien-type-thing voice, somehow rythmic in a way.
