DECEMBER 4, 2012: AnakTV has announced tha annual awardee and winners of Anak TV ‘Makabata’ Star Awards. The only morning awarding ceremony in the Philippines was held at its new venue, Lord’s Flock Theater, Catanduanes Street-West Avenue, Quezon City.
One of the Highlights of the event was the inauguration of AnakTV’s newest project called the ANAKTV Family Fun-walk slated on 27th January 2013.
The Anak TV ‘Makabata’ Star Awards list is based on the results conducted by them as to who are the Most Admired, Most Child-Friendly TV Personalities and programs, most cherished family-friendly programs for 2012.
Coco Martin garnered the highest votes for the Male personality and Jessica Soho tops the female list category. Surprisingly, Piolo Pascual, Aga Muhlach, John Lloyd Cruz, Luis Manzano and Tintin Bersola-Babao, who have always been favorites did not make this year’s AnakTV list. Julius Babao, Korina Sanchez, Gary Valenciano, Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco are among those who were already elevated to the Hall of Fame last year but still gathered lots of votes this year.
Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria debuted on the list obviously due to the success of their light morning series, Be Careful With My Heart.
109 TV programs earned the ANAKTV seal this year, including 19 shows from my home station, Kasangbahay Channel – UNTV. The program, Bread n’ Butter, which your’s truly is currently hosting was luckily, been considered again as one of the awardee this year. Thanks be to God for all the blessings!
