Its time to break the monotony of fast food chains, because Dimsum break is now here to conquer Manila. The new offering of Dim Sum Break is now here in Manila to give manilenos a new food choices on the go.
Dim Sum Break originated in Cebu and is owned and operated by the Harbour City Dimsum House Co., Inc. (HCDHCI). HCDHCI is a private family corporation by the Kokseng Clan.
The 16 year old fast food chain has now have 16 branches (including other 2 brands), 11 of which are Dimsum Break branches, three Harbour City branches and one Ding Qua Qua branch strategically located all over Metropolitan Cebu.
The combination of great food and simple, fast and interactive service proved to be a hit in Cebu. Thus the owners are very positive on its success with their first venture here in Metro Manila.
On their grand opening on it’s strategic location at SM North EDSA, the new interactive service setup could be found. Dimsum Break is popularizing the novel means of serving dim sum—the interactive style. This setup allows customers to get their dim sum in a dash. All they have to do is line up at the counter, personally get their dim sum favorites, pay at the cashier, and be on their way to enjoy the food be it in store or out. It is perfectly positioned to answer the needs and demands of fast-paced lifestyles while paying homage to the tradition of authentic dim sum dining.
With the wide range covering more than 20 steamed and fried dim sum dishes, Dimsum Break is considered to be the new fast food chain with the most number of dim sum being serve among the fast food chains in Manila.
In a sudden invite from a friend blogger Ross, we were given a chance to sample what Dimsum Break could offer. We picked different dim sum’s we like to try. According to some of the staff, their best sellers are the sweet and sour dish weather its Fish, Pork or Chicken.
I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Shrimp Balls and Sweet and sour fish. I love the sweet and sour fish and it instantly became one of my favorites. Hope they could also include Kikiam on their list.
Fried and steamed Dim sum starts at P65 per order (3 pcs). If you’re a bit hungry and like to try some rice meals, Dim sum Break have rice pots for Php 68 each.
Aside from Dim Sum, the fast food also has different vegetable choices for Php 55, Noodles and Soups for Php 80 each, Different Shaopao and six dessert choices.

It’s authentic, it’s cooked fresh, It’s Chinese. Now, you do not need to go to Binondo to try out some affordable yet quality and authentic chinese dim sum. All you have to do now is visit SM north Edsa, and enjoy your dim sum that could be eaten in a dash
