It was a wonderful Saturday night to celebrate F*Art’s 5th anniversary party as well as Happy Andrada’s send off party as she promotes her personal best of Filipino Fashion and Art to the rest of the world. I was one of the privilege person to be invited by a good friend Viva Andrada, co-owner of F*ART Fashion Art, along with her sister happy.
The celebration was held at F*ART Fashion ART, located in 24 J. Erestain cor. K-1st, Kamuning, Quezon City last Saturday, February 4, 2012. I came late at the said call time, but the program started kinda late, so I was still early. The celebration could be felt even without entering the shop, for a band serenades everyone who passes by the place.
Fashion ART (F*ART) is a store conceptualized by creative sisters, Happy Andrada and Viva Andrada, who want to give space for Filipino talent to bloom and grow. Viva and Happy are amazed with what Filipinos can do. They believe in Filipino talent. They encourage others to be proud of what Filipinos can do. Since its onset in 2007, F*ART has consistently been a place where young, fast rising Filipino fashion designers and artists showcase the best of what they have to offer.
Happy Andrada is a young fashion designer who inspires Filipino pride. Happy’s fab talents will reach farther and spread across the globe this year. Fashion ambassador Happy will represent the country at Czech Republic’s Top Style competition in February; London’s Alternative Fashion Week and Toronto’s Alternative Arts and Fashion Week, both in April. Thou I didn’t had the chance to meet her personally, I’m still hoping to get to know her very soon.
It was a long night of celebration, food was serve and I was delighted with the different sweets on the table.
One of the best activity the guest could do in the event was the unique Photobooth called “Flipbooks” it was a new concept where in you will be taking different shots in motion. Compiled into a small book that called “Flipbook”. I don’t have the opportunity to try it, cause I’m a bit shy plus the line was a bit long too, and I felt it is more perfect to do it in groups for it to be more fun.
The crowd started to fill-up the place around 9pm, specially on the 3rd floor where the main event is being held.
It was a great experience, thou my overcoming of fear of socializing and my goal to meet new people in this new field hasn’t materialize. I just hope I could do it again sometime. But all-in-all it was a wonderful experience, it was a great event organize by Viva. And I hope to be invited again in their upcoming event in the future.
