In my line of work, I’m always on the go. But then I need to work on my blog and office tasks even if I’m out of the house or the office. I know a lot of us own laptops which we can’t just always lug around wherever we go, more so if I’m out for an event where I need to be stylish without a bulk of a laptop ruining my look.
Good thing I was able to get my hands to this gorgeous ZENBOOK 13 in Burgundy Red, which is really easy to carry. It’s super thin and light that I can carry it with one hand. It’s not too small or too big, just a bit smaller than the size of an A4 paper but the screen size was not compromised.
Opening the laptop, I noticed the hinge was different because it tilted the screen and I read that it’s the Ergolift design of ZENBOOK 13. Wait, Ergo-what? That’s Ergolift, people at ASUS think of everything to make it convenient and easier to type even for long hours. I’m typing away on the laptop almost the whole day and its easy on the wrists. I also noticed that the laptop doesn’t get warm and the sound was really good from the speakers, which I have later learned that the Ergolift design has to do with cooling the laptop and boosting the sound.
Starting up the laptop was quite fast and I really like the screen size because it’s almost frameless. With its high-resolution screen display, I can edit photos with crisp colors and detail plus it doesn’t strain the eyes even if I’m in front of the screen for hours. Oh did I mention that ASUS also placed a Number pad right on the trackpad, now that’s what I call hassle-free typing. The Numpad remarkably senses when I’m typing numbers and when I want to move the cursor. The succeeding times I used it I also tried logging in with the 3D IR face recognition feature and still starting the laptop is really quick. Low light was not a problem too while logging in with the 3D IR.
As for the speed, while using it, I can say that it’s really fast for an ultraportable laptop because while I’m editing photos, I have other windows open too. Since I’m also vlogging, I tried editing videos on the ZENBOOK 13 and at 8Gb RAM, of course, you can only do simple video editing with very minimal graphics. But yes, it can do the job for you.
I also love that it comes with an HDMI port so if I need to hook it on a projector or big monitor for presentations its pretty easy.
