It isn’t just interiors that makes this place extraordinary but the history itself is something you should be taking into consideration which could actually make your stay here elevated. Rizal Park Hotel is a landmark hotel in the heart of Manila that beckons a new world of luxury and comfort. It highlights Filipino hospitality, luxurious amenities and spectacular views as well.
A top of it, the Penthouse By The Bay is located where one could enjoy an al-fresco dining with an overlooking view of Manila Bay.
I was able to experience both, and learning about the history of the place makes me more excited to even stay longer.

Rizal Park Hotel Manila
I’ve been wanting to visit and stay at this wonderful hotel since it opened its doors last July 2017. The former Manila Army and Navy Club, a social club exclusive to US Army and Navy personnel stationed in the Philippines, is now a grandeur hotel that can already be considered as a landmark in Manila. It’s beauty and elegance has been restored by the Oceanville Hotel and Spa Corporation, developing the now Rizal Park Hotel Manila into a world class heritage boutique-styled hotel where dining, wellness, fitness and other facilities are present to cater both local and foreign tourist.
And because I know this could be the best place to dress up, I asked my fashion designer friend Levenson Rodriguez and pull out some clothes to be worn inside this 5-star boutique hotel.
My check in time was supposedly at 2pm but I arrived around 5:30pm, which is a bit late considering that It could have been nice to watch the sunset at the hotels rooftop. I was also a bit worried that I might not be able to park properly, but I was happy to learn that there parking spaces could accommodate more than I expected.
Rod came in earlier so I wasn’t really able to take a photo of our room in its tidy state. We got a Deluxe Suite which is perfect for casual travelers and corporate guests. After unpacking, I hurriedly change outfit, and went straight to our main event of the day, the launch of Penthouse by the Bay, which is located at the top of Rizal Park Hotel. Wearing our Gatsby Inspired outfits, we head straight at the top of the building where Penthouse by the Bay is located. It was raining hard on that day so we weren’t really able to witness one of the highlights of the day – the Manila Bay Sunset.

Penthouse By The Bay is a new jewel at the top of 1900’s colonial style building, Rizal Park Hotel. Here, you can experience an al-fresco dining with an overlooking view of Manila Bay or wine and dine in style at their fully-airconditioned posh lounge inspired by the Art Deco period, also known as the Great Gatsby era.
It was nice to see that everyone was so game to do role play, as we were like having so much time being in the Great Gatsby era. Penthouse By The Bay is definitely a destination events place that you can consider specially if your planning to do a party similar into this. (Also Read: Star City Manila)

After dinner, the 90’s party started with music played by there resident DJ at the al-fresco area. At night, the Manila Skyline can capture your heart while chilling and having your favorite drink at the place.
I am not really a party boy so, after listening to a few music, I decided to go back to my room to sleep. I plan to wake up as early as possible so I could still have time to go around and do a few more things before checking out of this awesome place.
Indeed, a day isn’t really enough to stay here at Rizal Park Hotel, It could have been nicer if I was able to witness both sunset and sunrise at the place. Maybe next time.
