It was my third year in a row of attending Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival or Lubao IBMF for short. And for the record, each experience I had was really different. I guess there are just a lot of activities to do each year that I never get tired of coming back.
The balloon flight in the morning could be a sight but it isn’t just the thing you should be looking forward to each year.
After being able to ride the hot air balloon twice, I decided to walk a different path this year. I did not wake up very early, I did not ride any hot air balloon and still I had fun as much as before.
Continue reading will tell you about my Lubao IBMF experience this year.

Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival is a yearly event held in Lubao Pampanga. The 3-day event this year was held from March 23 to March 25. Aside from the daily balloon flights in the morning, a lot of activities in the whole day are also available to experience at the events place.
This year we decided to attend on the second day and try the other activities. And because the Pampanga Government was the one who invited us, we intend to roam around Pampanga as well.

We stayed at Royce Hotel & Casino
Royce Hotel has been my partner brand for a very long time, but ironically I haven’t really got the chance to stay there. That is why it made me happy when I was told that we would be staying in Royce for 4 days. Though, Royce Hotel & Casino is an hour away from Lubao – which I think isn’t really ideal – a service vehicle was provided making our way to the events place less of a hassle.
I shared room with MJ Deleon and Rod Magaru. It was a spacious 3 single bedroom.
My first live MayWard encounter
I’ve been an avid viewer of their portion inside the PBB house. I think aside from Pinoy Big brother Double Up Edition, where Melay Cantiveros won, Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7, was the next one that I regularly watched. That is because aside from a friend who joined as one of the regular housemates (Wil Dasovich), I was also captivated with the combination of the Teens Edition.
At the very beginning of the show, I’ve already know it would be interesting to watch especially when I Maymay Entrata was introduced in the show. She actually resembles Melay Cantiveros probinsya charm and bubbly character.
Since Maymay’s grand win, I never really had a chance to see her in real life or even any of the other housemates (except for Kisses who I’ve been with at Say Alonzo’s sons birthday).
Attending this years Lubao IBMF would I guess be my chance to see them in person.
And we did. I was able to gain a VIP access on #MayWard’s performance.
Early morning of the 24th, we decided to skip the balloon flight and instead watch the early morning performance of Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber (MayWard).
Edward performed first and then followed by Maymay. After the solos, the duo did some duets. You could really see how they grow as artists compared from how they have started. MayWard as they were called got charm and chemistry, that once you’ve felt, you would really be enchanted.
Here are some of the photos I’ve took
After the performance we were able to sit with them for a Q & A. You can really feel their sincerity and honesty like some kid being questioned by grown ups. They shared their experiences on their second time here in Lubao IBMF.
Watch Maymay Entrata’s full performance here
From Lubao, we went straight to Bacolor to visit this popular Kapampangan restaurant called Apag Marangle.
Balloon Night Glow at Lubao IBMF
In the evening, we were able to watch the Balloon Night Glow, which was followed by Sarah Geronimo’s performance.
At around 10:30 pm, a fireworks display was showed that closes the days event.
