It has been 3 years since the inception of the now internationally (very) famous Wish 107.5! I still remember how It all started, those first meetings, rehearsals, my very first on-air show and even on how our DJ names were born. It was all because of Kuya Daniel Razon, for tagging me to join as well as on making my dream job come true.
It was a short 1-year stint and I have to let it go (for some job-related reasons). A few of my comrades also decided to press the pause button to pursue a different career in life.
After 3 years, we are back to play the button once again and to keep on wishing.

I attended the event as the plus one of my Wishjock friend DJ Faye. Wearing my suit by Levenson Bespoke, I tag Jem Cubil and went straight to Smart Araneta Coliseum.
It was the third year of holding the Wish Music Awards 2018 (WMA) here and I was actually getting the feels just like the first year. (Read: My First Wish Music Awards Experience)
The crowds were already filling up at the different gates. We went straight to the South gate and I was lucky to be given an access to the backstage, maybe because I was wearing a nice suit that night. lol!
But before going in, DJ Faye and former DJ Jellykiss who came all the way from Canada, came out to fetch us. But just right on time, the Wish Bus pass by, making us run towards it to say hi to all the wishers on air. DJ John Journey was on board. I was happy to be hearing my self again on air, even for just a short while.
WishJocks Reunion

I bumped into DJ Adam inside the Arena and brought me to the backstage. DJ Adam now hosted my former radio program “Moonlight Wishes. Inside the Jocks room, I said hi to former radio jock Princess Leigh, who also let go of the job and decided to focus on her study. She is taking a degree in Law.
DJ Kim who hosts the ‘Wish List’ was already done with her hair and makeup, while DJ Alice of The Wonderland, was just getting started. ‘The Morning Wish‘ host DJ Ray Holiday introduces me to the newest member of the Wish Jock Family, DJ Laura. She hosts the program ‘Wishpers of Love” which was formally hosted by DJ Faye, who is now part of ‘the Roadshow’ with DJ Robin (Nievera).
I was happy to see everyone. That moment was really unexpected for some of the jocks just happened to be here in the Philippines on the said date. It was like a mini-reunion of the old and new. Even some (including me) already parted, we were still considered as part of the Wish Family.
The Wish Music Awards 2018
The awards ceremony started past 7pm. We actually missed the opening performance for I and Jem was hanging out at the backstage. Upon entering the VIP area, we were escorted to table#6.
This year Wish Music Award is hosted by Christian Bautista and Gretchen Ho, who is hosting the event on her 3rd year. All the Wishjocks will be presenting an award along with the pool of Judges that includes Ms. Kuh Ledesma, Noel Cabangon, Gino Padilla, Jett Pangan, Francis Reyes, Isah Red, Aiza Seguerra and Arnel Pineda.
Some of the performers of the night include, Morissette, Nina, Arnel Pineda, KZ Tandingan, Jett Pangan, Michael Pangilinan, Kris Lawrence, Jay R, Abra, Quest, Gloc-9, Inigo Pascual, Sam Mangubat, and the list goes on.
It was nice to be sitting in the front that I was able to see most of what is happening. This year Wish Music Awards theme is “Taking Filipino Music Across the Globe,” which was fittingly perfect especially now that the FM station is currently expanding to a new level of works. That is putting up a Wish Bus along the streets of Hollywood. Whoa!
The night was a combination of music and charity for each winner of the major awards with take-home Php 25,000, while the winners chosen charitable groups will be granted Php 100,000.
