Honestly, I only have (I think) 25 percent knowledge about cars. When you asked me about brands, I only know the familiar ones like Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Honda, and Mitsubishi. I also know a few of the more expensive types (Read: New Mini Cooper S) but still having a hard time remembering the logos of those brands. When you asked me about road signs, well I know the basics, but those that are not frequently seen in EDSA needs a little time for me to processed.
An example of tense driving!
Body Parts, vehicle types and those terms like air break, alternators, power steering, jump start and a hundred more (and damn it was too many!) are those information that are still not sinking in.
I got so many things to learn. But luckily, four months ago, I finally got my drivers licence after confidently passing all the test through the help of Xcel Driving School! It was a good decision that I undergo training at Xcel for they even extended their assistance by helping me get my licensed easily.
But the bad side is, I wasn’t able to practice driving right after I got my licensed and it’s been more than 4 months already since the last time I drove a car (that was too fast!). Making me stale and afraid to hit the road again. Bad. Really bad.

And just recently, my brother (who lives in Singapore) bought a Mitsubishi Adventure for the family and is now parked in our house in Valenzuela. Yey! We finally got a car. But I still haven’t manage to drive it on my own, looser! Nevertheless, I am decided to force my self and re-learn as soon as possible so I could bring and carry it here in Quezon City (where I live.)
I know it will take more time, but here is one thing I think I could easily master with in minutes – Car Washing! Lol! Hey, its part of owning a car right?!
Good thing I got help – Auto-Gard Premium Car Care Products, makes my new tasked easier. I personally like the Auto-Gard Rain Repellent for it is very suited in our weather here in the Philippines. While the scratch remover, I think, is something that I need to hoard for I might used it a lot specially when I started to drive the car on my own.
But the major problem is, How could I be able to become a Pro Driver? I listed down some of the things, I think, I should follow or at least do to finally do it!
How could I be able to become a Pro Driver?
- To basically Master the art of driving, to be into it and to move like you are the car itself. (I think this is how they do it? Kinda like the Transfomers)
- Learn (as much as possible) all the possible road signs. I know I’ll be able to learn this eventually. I just hope that I would not learn it the hard way through violations.
- As my parents always say, It is very important to learn the basic parts of your vehicle, you need to basically get to know it inside and out.
- And finally, troubleshooting and basic fixing knowledge is a must!
I hope eventually, by following everything I could be able to really become a PRO driver.
Anyway, any suggestions? Any tips you can share so I could easily learn the basics will be much appreciated. Or maybe a free driving lesson? In exchange … hmmm… free car wash?! LOL!
