Who doesn’t know the word “Selfie” nowadays? Selfies are better known as the act of taking self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a digital camera or camera phone held in the hand or supported by a selfie stick. This colloquial term became too popular that it was added in the dictionary. And because Filipinos are too hook on doing selfie, we even been coined as the selfie capital of the world. Making us a great market for selfie gadgets. And speaking of selfie, here’s a knockoff you can’t resist. OPPO just recently launch a phone that will knock the selfie game out of the park without leaving the mid-end price point , presenting OPPO’s F1s.
Following the release of the F1 and F1 Plus, F1s is a new model by the rising mobile tech giant OPPO, that is pack with stronger firepower than its predecessors without the premium pricing.
I got a chance to not just hold it, but even use it for two days when OPPO brought us to Pico De Loro Cove, Hamilo Coast in Batangas to enjoy not just the awesome view but also to explore the amazing features of the OPPO F1s. But before I tell you the fun part, let me give you first a few details about the phone
Selfie Expert – OPPO F1s
Boasting with a powerful 13-megapixel rear camera with a more notable front 16-megapixel front-facing camera, the 5.5-inch form factor is predictably amazing for selfies, group photos and video calls.
The phone runs on a MT6750 octa-core processor with up to three gigabytes of RAM. It also carries a fair amount of juice with a 3075 mAH internal battery. This is more than enough for casual gaming and browsing social media account throughout the day.
And true to its word, the OPPO F1s handed to me for use, lasts for almost 1 ½ days, that’s a hardcore social media and POKEMON Go gamer here.

OPPO Selfie Amazing Race
Maximising the power of OPPO F1s and making true to its line – Selfie Expert, OPPO gave us a chance to use a unit along with a competition against fellow media people and be hailed as this years OPPO SELFIE AMAZING RACE GRAND WINNER wherein each of the participants will get a chance to take home a brand new OPPO F1s.
I was part of group 1 named team Selfiesh. Obviously, we were asked to think of a name that would incorporate the word “Selfie” thus “Selfiesh”.
Playing in the team are Rodel Flordeliz, Earth Rullan, John Bueno, Lou Ventigan, Jeman Villanueva, Jonel and Marjorie Uy and Melo Villareal who wasn’t feeling well on that moment. Add to that are the Ambassadors Playing for our team, Kylie Padilla and Mikael Daez.
Originally, the whole race will consists of six stations but was trimmed down in to four due to the bad weather. The main goal was to finish the race at the shortest time.
Our team started with a basketball shootout, then followed by a badminton game, a race to 100 points at the Bowling center and finally, “Pinoy Henyo” which I think we did enjoyed too much we forgotten that it was a competition. Check out how Mikael and I did in following videos.
Aside from winning the game, other chances to get hold of a new phone was to be hailed as the best individual selfie and having the most creative groupie.
The badminton and the basketball game was a breeze but the bowling game was a failure. The Pinoy Henyo were too fun we are super eager to do the bonus round! Here is a video of me doing bowling. I’m pretty sure I got other talents thou, so don’t judge. 🙂
Almost twenty phones were given away at the culmination night! And although we weren’t able to win any, we surely know that we had fun! And I think that’s super important.
Yung sinubukan ko syang ihagis na parang #Pokeballs, natalo tuloy kami hahaha! #bowling #SelfieExpert #Oppof1s
