Who would imagine that a devastating tragedy could result into something magnificent, and adventurous as well.
Pampanga, one of the provinces who have been greatly damage by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo more than 15 years now have stood up and move on from that memorable event. And along with ingenuity, transformed the remnants and make use of that situation to create something better.
Pasig Potrero River is a good example, the river which is now covered with rocks and white ashes creating a dessert like place has been utilize by the people in Pampanga and make a living out of it. Aside from making hollow-blocks with the use of the ashes, they even make this place as an attraction to travelers.
Through Sandbox, the newest recreational place in the north brought to us by Ayala Land, It made possible for me to explore the wonders of Pasig Potrero River. This is the 2nd time I’ll be coming back in this place. And aside from trying the newest Roller Coaster Zip Line (Which i’m going to share in a separate article), I also did try the expensive yet exciting ATV ride (All Terrain Vehicle). Why expensive? well an hour of ride will cost you Php 2,500.00, thou its really worth to try! Just see how wonderful this ride took me … (Check out my previous visit at Sandbox)
I was told that aside from paying the ATV, you are also paying for the gasoline that would be spent for the hour ride and the tour guide that will brought you to the stretch of Potrero River. After the short tutorial on how to operate the ATV, we are now ready to do the ATV Wild Ride!
The land adventure is 1-2 hour ride and having been already expose to a lot of ATV ride previously I wouldn’t thought this ride would make me really excited.
My cameraman, Alex, is excited to fly the drone at the river.
If your riding in a group, I suggest you go first or last, or else you’ll eat dust just like what happened to me. I actually took off my button down seeing that all the dust from the other riders are coming into me. Bring extra shirts as well, the could be a bit messy.
Ahh yabang lang ng shot, naka go-pro! hahaha
Seeing the wonders of creation here at Porac is really breathtaking, I felt like I’m in a different part of world, wandering.
Good thing we brought a drone to capture this wonderful sights. Will be adding up a video soon.
Here is a worms eye view of the place.
And off course, I would not let this day pass without having a photo of myself in this wonderful place. Kunwari hindi napakainit ng lugar . 🙂
Learn its history and explore the wonders of Porac, Pampanga, through Ayala Land’s Sandbox. Located in the green plains a few meters away from the Subic-Clark-Tarlac (SCTEX) Porac Toll Plaza and less than 10 kms. away from Clark.
