✪ I always like physical challenges whether it is in sports or other activities (though there still some exception). And when it comes to the gym, I sometimes get bored especially if I’m alone doing the same stuff over and over again. That’s why I felt excited to try out the customised fitness class at Sky Fitness.
Sky Fitness
Sky Fitness is a franchise from Singapore, which currently have 2 branches here in Manila (Makati & Podium Branch. There are plans of opening up new branches, but the newest would be is located at The Podium. Sky Fitness mixes the element of science and fitness together to make programs designed specially for your own body type. Their unique Fitness approach actually sets them apart from the usual. Sky Fitness doesn’t want to be tagged as a regular gym thou and programs for each individual are not just based on standard workout routines.
One morning I was invited to try their services and experience what they could offer.
The procedure started with Lean Body Assessment & Posture Analysis.
Each new registered individual in the gym undergoes to this process. Sky Fitness has a designated body assessment room where the actual assessment takes place. The Postural Analysis required me to hold a pole with my two hands raise upwards while doing squats. Trainers will then analyze my body positioning and alignment. I found out that I’m putting more weight on my left side than on to my right. With this assessment they could easily create a program that could correct my body posture.
My lower body was also diagnosed to be un-proportional against my upper body. This maybe was cause by my previous workouts focusing on my upper part only.
The Biophysical Wellness Analyzer or Bio-Scan on the other hand, tests the condition of my body within a few minutes. The machine determines my weight, body mass, muscle weight etc. essential for determining the right program they would create specially for me. This was the 2nd time to do the test and after 2 years, I found out that my body figure improved. I was obese on the belly area the last time I did this test.
Aside from the machines, Sky Fitness Podium Branch has this big-green-bare-area where most of the fun happens.
Let’s start and do the Skyfitness Training
The first thing we did was to personally massage our selves, using simple tools. This was called as Self Myofascia, a therapy for skeletal muscle immobility and pain treatment.
I particularly like this part, specially the use of golf ball as the massager. I can particularly do this one at home. You just need to glide the ball on to your foot and hit the stress spots to release the muscle pain. The other one was a cylindrical tube that is use for bigger muscle area like the legs and the thighs and even the butt.
Calisthenics was a bit tiring yet pumping at the same time. We did a combination of jogging and sprinting at the same time and other body weight exercise routines too.
Speed, Agility & Quickness also called as SAQ, for short, was next in on the lineup. We proceeded to this, I could say ‘fun’, exercises that test our SAQ with a combination of running, jumping, hopping and skipping. I felt like I was just playing like a grade school, but for some this would be very tiring and challenging.
The training level just gotten difficult each level, next was the Core Balance Stability.
Finally, its time for some Cool Down & Stretching!
Sky Fitness is also open in giving-in free trials, so don’t hesitate to inquire and contact them, membership prices varies depending on what program one would need.
All in all, keeping your self-fit and healthy would always be dependent on how you act on it. Whether you will try Sky Fintess program or the other, achieving your goal would still be a test of your own determination and discipline.ヅ
For me, I workout because I love to keep my self-fit, aside from eating! Have a balance of everything, enjoy and appreciate whats currently in your plate. ♣
