Finally the long wait was over, our dinner date was push through! Thanks to Atty. Regie Tongol and to the Mare’s (Jhean, Sheng and Laiza) in annoying and persistently asking Atty. Regie to treat us for a dinner. Luckily I was invited to go with them.
We headed to Tomas Morato area, just after Atty. Regie’s stint at UNTV Radyo Laverdad. We decided to dine in at Banapple. It was my first time to try the place, and was excited to whats Banapple could offer to my hungry stomach. And I actually didn’t ate dinner in preparation to the date. Lol!
Banapple was a very cozy place, light and somehow felt like I’m inside a big doll house, it was well decorated and a perfect venue to hang out with friends. It has small tables which is good for couples or friend who like to talk or converse intimately.
Banaple in Tomas Morato, Ill Terrazo branch have 3 sections, you can dine outside the restaurant or you can choose either in the main dining area or for more intimate place you can pick the inner-most part which is separated by a semi glass door. While waiting for our late dinner, it’s the best time to pose for the camera!
After some stories and laughter, nows the time to fill our hungry stomach and here are what we ordered for tonight;
Asian Sunshine Salad (140) a dish bursting with flavors and textures: refreshing greens, cool cucumber sticks and crabstick shreds, topped with sweet juicy mandarin oranges and crowned with crisp wonton skins and honey-sesame oil dressing.
Savory longanisa with caramelized Onions (170) Flavorful sausage slices stir-fried in olive oil, crowned wit caramerlized onions; served with creamy parsley eggs
Salpicao Rafael (190) Tender cubes of rib-eye steak and sliced mushrooms, perfectly seasoned and smothered in garlic pieces and our special brown sauce; served with glazed butter carrots
Boneless Bangus Belly a la pobre (175) Creamy fillet of Bangus belly, marinated in our special sauce, coated in a light crisp batter, and topped with fried garlic and soy-honey glaze; served with glazed butter carrots.
Terrific Tuna Sandwich (130) mounds of creamy tuna salad, topped with cheese, lettuce and special dressing.
To cap our dinner, the owner who was a friend of Atty. Regie, gave us a delicious Blueberry Cheesecake!
